NEW SI-TEX EXPANDABLE COLORMAX 5 CHARTING SYSTEM OFFERS OUTSTANDING FEATURES ON BRILLIANT 5" DAYLIGHT VIEWABLE DISPLAY!

The new SI-TEX ColorMax 5 charting system with GPS WAAS receiver, offers all the latest features and all on a brilliant 5" color active matrix LCD display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution to give you outstanding color and clarity in bright sunlight.

The ColorMax 5 is expandable with affordable optional Fishfinder, AIS and e-Loran Sensors.  The ES502 Fishfinder Module adds 500-1000 watt dual-frequency full-featured color fishfinder capabilities.  The AIS Black Box sensor receives VHF transmissions from vessels carrying AIS transponders to overlay AIS target data on the charts. With the e-Loran Integrated GPS WAAS/Loran sensor you get the best of both worlds…GPS WAAS accuracy and True Loran positioning, no conversions. The ColorMax 5 EL (with e-Loran antenna) charting system is perfect for finding that old Loran-C Fishing Hot Spot plus it adds heading output using Loran-C to provide bearing accuracy better than 1º.

ARM9 processor has 64MB of memory to give you instant screen changes. Zoom level changes appear in the blink of an eye, regardless of the amount of screen detail. The GPS WAAS receiver will put your boat within 3 meters of your waypoint in most situations (available with internal or external antenna).  WAAS technology is fast and accurate and eliminates the need for a beacon receiver antenna.

Compatible with the new C-MAP MAX charts, technically the most innovative C-MAP charts ever designed. MAX cartography features Flashing NavAids, Perspective View (a birds eye view of the chart), Guardian™ Anti-Grounding Technology, Dynamic Current Predictions, and aerial photos of marinas and high-detail marina drawings.

A unique programmable anti-grounding feature using—Guardian™ Grounding Alarm—lets you know if your current course will take you within preset distance of charted shoals, obstructions or other areas where the water is too shallow for your vessel's draft. This feature helps provide an added level of security for all boaters.

The ColorMax 5 stores up to up to 500 waypoints or marks, 20 reversible routes, 1000 track plots and it lets you select colors for recordable waypoints, marks and events.  Easy-to-use screen selection including full-screen chart, split-screen chart, full-screen chart plus graphic depth, 3D runway, satellite status, GPS position in large digits and cross-track display. Pointing device controls on-screen cursor to plot, scroll, pan and zoom for vast sea areas to harbor charts.

Depth Graph feature accepts input from onboard sounder or optional Active Transducer to display graphic presentation of vessels current depth and recent depth history.

The GOTO function allows one-button navigation to mark, waypoint, port, or port facility. Tide info feature uses local C-Card information to calculate tide graph for local ports.  Find Function uses local C-Card to locate the nearest boatyard, grocery, bank and even the closest shower to make choosing your ports of call easier.

Other features include selectable units for depth, distance and speed; anchor, arrival and XTE alarms; man-overboard feature; selectable languages; EBL and VRM; built-in simulator; built-in worldwide background chart; weatherproof construction and non-volatile memory with battery backup. Also displays wind data when connected to wind instruments through NMEA-0183 interface.

The ColorMax 5 comes with bracket mount, surface mount kit and protective cover. It also comes with SI-TEX's comprehensive two-year limited warranty.  For more information, write SI-TEX, 11001 Roosevelt Blvd., Suite 800, St. Petersburg, FL 33716.  Call (727) 576-5734, FAX (727) 576-5547.  Or catch our web site at www.si-tex.com
