     The Explorer Plus from SI-TEX is a compact, charting system control unit that makes installation more convenient than ever. Just plug it into any PC monitor, anywhere, and you've got full-featured C-MAP electronic charting. You can use a monitor you already have on board or match it with most any CRT or flat panel display for a convenient two-piece charting system with unlimited mounting possibilities.

     Much more versatile than bulky one-piece units, the Explorer Plus can be mounted up to six feet away from your display—on a table top, on a bulkhead or flush-mounted.  A special trunion bracket and mounting knobs make for easy installation and removal.

     The Explorer Plus features dual C-MAP MAX C-Card slots— technically the most innovative C-MAP charts ever designed, soft-key operation, and optional memory cards for unlimited track and waypoint storage capability. The newly designed fast processor with INTEL XSCALE Architecture gives you instant screen changes. Zoom level changes appear in the blink of an eye, regardless of the amount of screen detail. 

     When connected to a GPS and other sensors, the Explorer Plus can display position, speed, course, distance, arrival time, STG, temperature and depth. Available with GPS/WAAS receiver as model Explorer PlusW to put your boat within 3 meters of your waypoint in most situations. Also availble with the e-Loran Integrated GPS WAAS/Loran sensor as model Explorer PlusL. With this receiver you get the best of both worlds…GPS WAAS accuracy and True Loran positioning, no conversions. It is perfect for finding that old Loran-C Fishing Hot Spot plus it adds heading output using Loran-C to provide bearing accuracy better than 1º.

     The Explorer Plus Charting System Control Unit expands to an all-in-one GPS Chart/Fishfinder/ Radar unit with optional sensors. The optional SI-TEX ES502 Fishfinder Module adds full-featured color fishfinder capabilities and optional 2kW to 4kW SI-TEX MDS Radar Sensors adds full-featured radar capabilites.
