     The more sophisticated a piece of equipment is the more sophisticated you have to be to run it, right?  Wrong!  Case in point:  the T-295 radar from SI-TEX.  It offers top-of-the-line, professional-level performance even a novice can tap into.
     Features the clarity of a big 10" CRT display, 4 kW power and longer ranges for unparalleled dependability at sea.  And has a convenient on-screen menu and two programmable function keys that allow you to access your most-used modes quickly.  In addition, an on-screen help function explains each menu item, making operation a snap.  You'll find your targets easily and find yourself in control!
       The T-295 utilizes an open array antenna---available in 4' and 5' lengths---for a range of 48 nautical miles.  The T-295 also gives you two antenna rotation speeds---25 RPM and 50 RPM---for better short range target detection in all conditions.  With selectable range scales from 1/16th NM---the new industry standard for close-in targeting.
     In addition, it feature SI-TEX's cleverly designed pointing device that's waterproof and dustproof and provides reliable, fast selection of VRM and other user functions.  Other features include:  location memory which lets you find buoys or other targets easily, a warning zone alarm that alerts you to "closing in" and "departing" of any preset guard zone, and a power save mode that lets you keep watch under reduced power consumption.
     When connected to a navigator and a gyrocompass or fluxgate compass,  it will display your waypoint and own vessel's track.  Head up mode is standard.  North up, Course up and True Motion modes are available with NMEA input.  The automatic hands-off tuning maintains maximum sensitivity at all times.  However, there is an override for the experienced user.
