There’s an old saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!” This sums up the SI-TEX philosophy perfectly.

Thanks to strong products built in the SI-TEX tradition of simplicity, performance and reliability, friendly, responsive technical support and really listening to our customers when they tell us what they need, our business has been steadily growing. And we’re not going to mess with what’s been working so well. But you have our promise, we will continue to expand our product line and get even better at what we do.

At SI-TEX, we’re committed to developing new products based on the ways customers really use their boats, rather than just cramming in a bunch of costly bells and whistles for the sake of marketing buzz. Take our new SP-110 autopilot, for example. In a short time, we’ve sold hundreds of these affordable pilots for use on a wide range of vessels. Matched with the versatile Octopus drive system, our SP-110 fits just about anywhere and provides reliable autosteering for inboard, outboard and sailing vessels.

The biggest reason for its success, however, is that the SP-110 is the quintessential Si-TEX product. It was designed in the SI-TEX mold: Make it simple. Make it work. Make it reliable. In fact, an upcoming feature article in an early 2012 issue of Boating Magazine will chronicle just how easy the SP-110 was to install, set up and enjoy aboard an editor’s boat. We’ll post a link to the story and photos of the installation on the website soon.

Our new line of SI-TEX Metadata AIS modules follow in these same footsteps. They feature the latest R-Gen processor technology that solves many of the performance problems boaters encountered with 1st generation AIS products. Yet, the modules themselves are small, affordable and easy to mount just about anywhere.

These are just a couple of examples of how we will continue to do things the SI-TEX way. This commitment also extends to the way we support our products and our customers. Notice how most companies make it so difficult to just call them on the phone and ask a simple question? And if you do track down the phone number, you usually get a computerized voice seemingly bent on preventing you from ever making contact with a real person.
